The members of the trade association OVL (Ortopeditekniske Virksomheters Landsforbund) are suppliers of orthopedic aids. The industry aims to deliver high quality products and services and is concerned with product safety and quality for users and patients.
In their activities, the members must comply with Norwegian laws and regulations and ensure that the requirements of good business practice are complied with. Ethical guidelines are in addition to and go beyond current legislation. An act can therefore be legal, but still unethical.
Violations of the ethical guidelines must first be reported to the relevant member and then, if applicable, to the board of OVL. Members who violate the ethical guidelines may be excluded in accordance with §2-4 in OVL's articles of association.
